After years of preparation, the reinforcement of the dike along the beautiful River Gein starts. In this long lasting plan process Brons + partners has been operated as intermediair between the Water board with the technical requirements and the inhabitants with their own sense of place. During the plan process we searched with all the involved parties for new, creative solutions and alternatives. Finally, solutions were found to protect this River area against inundation and to keep the spatial qualities of the River and her according vegetation and private houses high.
